Two Key Principles
1. Learning Relationship : is a heart of change. The central principle is that learning, change and transformation occur through building relationships. In dialogue, there is listening with an open mind and asking questions which build shared understanding. The importance is that two people are engaged with one another, they relate to one another, and if the coaching and mentoring are effective, they connect with one another.
2. Client: sets the agenda and is resourceful. Centre stage in the learning relationship is the client and their agenda. The effective C/M works with the client to help them clarify what they want and how they will achieve their aims. The importance is that the C/M helps them to know that they are the centre stage and being focus of attention. It allows them to be engaged and become a partner, with a sense of purpose, and believing the Coaching or mentoring will be a success.
Know Yourself:
I would apply this in the real world by eliminating the too much of what I think verses what God knows. I’m learning that everyone is different and we all see things differently.
